RICS reacts to John Prescott's announcement on sustainable communities. Argues there are encouraging signs that government is addressing the housing crisis but the plans need to be followed up by more leadership and action in this area. RICS recommendations include; high density mixed use on brownfield sites and a concentration on infrastructure such as airports, bridges, rail and road projects.
