Presents the findings of research by Insignia Richard Ellis into the feasibility of the Draft London Plan (DLP). In particular, questions expectations for office demand growth in the DLP and whether these are in line with plans for transport and housing in London. With regards to transport, points out that Thameslink 2000, the east-west Crossrail and the East London Line extension are subject to uncertainty and delay. Also looks at population growth forecasts and affordable housing provision, the effect of proposed planning obligations on developers, employment projections and office demand, the DLP strategy for the location of future office supply and the composition of demand and how the London economy has fundamentally changed since 2000.
