A confidential report commissioned by the DTI is calling for an industry-wide survey of the increase in employers' liability insurance and public liability insurance and the effect on construction contractors. The report, "A scoping study looking at the difficulties construction contractors face in obtaining insurance", will present government with an accurate assessment of the insurance crisis in the construction industry.
