Overview of the proposals to amend the regulations which cover Sched 2 Class VII exempt buildings and work. These proposals will affect conservatories. The ODPM has invited a number of high profile organisations, including RICS, to comment on whether the exemptions currently afforded to conservatories should remain or be removed. If the exemption is removed, conservatories would come under the provision of the Building Regulations 2000 edition, and any intended construction would require notification.
