Overall orders in the twelve months to January 2003 rose by 11% compared to the previous twelve months. There were rises in all sectors except private industrial orders. Orders in the three months to January 2003 were 1% up on the same period a year ago and 20% up on the previous three-month period due largely to public non-housing orders.
