The Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) has published, in association with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB), an advice note on maintenance, "A stitch in time"* aimed at historic building owners. Until recently maintenance has been sidelined by owners in favour of restoration and regeneration but now there is more support from government for maintenance.
