Investment Property Databank (IPD) figures show that UK residential property investment outperformed commercial property in 2002. Central London was the worst performer in the "UK residential index results 2002", but it still outstripped commercial property. The index showed central London properties produced a total return of 12.3%, with commercial property trailing at 9.7%. Table.
