A new consultation proposes statutory guidance to enforce minimum standards for bed and breakfast hotels housing homeless people. "Improving standards of accommodation for homeless households placed in temporary accommodation by housing authorities" addresses areas such as size and occupancy of levels of rooms, location of cooking and bathing facilities and management standards.
