House prices in England and Wales fell in April for the third consecutive month with the southern regions experiencing the largest declines, according to the latest "RICS housing market survey of England and Wales". Price falls in southern England were partly offset by further rises in northern regions. Stocks of properties rose but new vendor instructions come to a standstill. Surveyors expect stable sales conditions following the end of the war in Iraq .
