"RICS residential lettings survey Great Britain" for the three months to end of April 2003 shows demand for rental property at its strongest for two years. A net 1% of surveyors reported a drop in rents over the last three months compared to 9% in the previous quarter. Rents rose in most regions across the country with the exception of London and southeast England. Surveyors reported a modest rise in the number of properties coming on to the market and remain positive in their rental forecast for the next quarter.
