BRE's airtightness experts are reminding designers and contractors that, from 30 September 2003, all new commercial and public buildings with a gross floor area of 1000 m2 or more must demonstrate that they meet the new airtightness standard of 10 m3h-1m-2, following Part 2 of the Building Regulations which came into force last year. After the end of September the new regulations must be strictly complied with.
