A survey of 74 retailers carried out by FPDSavills has found that lower staff, distribution and property costs, have driven them from high streets to retail parks. It highlights the trend towards smaller units and the popularity of mezzanines. Despite the recent introduction of a new code of practice on leases, retailers have become less keen on unconventional leases.
