Land value not increased by transport improvements

Land value not increased by transport improvements - 2003 - Property Week 68(20) 23 May 2003, 7(1) .

A government backed study has found that land values are not affected by improvements in transport links, dashing plans to tax property owners on this basis. This has also affected plans to use such monies to fund the proposed Crossrail scheme across London. The research was carried out by ATIS Real Weatheralls on behalf of RICS and ODPM.
