A series of articles on e-conveyancing examine the progress made to date and the issues that still need resolving. Electronic conveyancing aims to speed up all property transactions, making them cheaper and more transparent. The Land Registration Act 2002 comes into force on 13 October 2003 and the new system will roll out on a voluntary basis between January 2006-07.
