The Construction Products Association (CPA) has predicted that private sector growth is forecast to fall sharply over the next three years. The cooling housing market is predicted to reduce the number of private housing starts and difficulties in the office market is forecast to affect office construction activity. Retail and leisure construction activity will also be affected. The CPA forecasts that the construction industry will become more dependent upon government PFI schemes. Table.
