Electricity shortage could halt Thames gateway - 2003 - Housing Today (334) 23 May 2003, 7(1) .

Suggests that electricity supply problems might hinder the construction of the 200 000 new communities plan homes earmarked for the Thames Gateway. Developers are struggling to strike affordable deals with electricity suppliers demand. A comprehensive review of utility demands in this area is needed and investment by the suppliers. A government response to this issue will be released in the early summer after discussion by the Thames Gateway cabinet committee led by the Prime Minister.
