Five key agencies - Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), Commission for Integrated Transport, Environment Agency and Sustainable Development Commission - have made a joint statement setting what strategies make housing market renewal a success. These include enhancing historic buildings, valuing older urban areas and their networks, using good design, sustainable development and energy-efficient homes and benchmarking for quality.
