The revised RICS "Agreement for the creation of an assured shorthold tenancy (England and Wales only)" is now available and meets the requirements of the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999. The tenancy agreement is completely re-written using clear plain text and intends to create a new climate of fairness between landlord and tenant. Surveyors are advised not to use the old and out of date forms of the tenancy agreement.
