The Countryside Agency has published a report on rural transport needs, highlighting 10 principles for transport to improve the quality of life for rural residents, businesses and visitors. Summarises the key areas of the report and list the principles, based on sustainable development and requiring social, economic and environmental objectives to be pursued together. The report, "Transport in tomorrow's countryside" (CA 143) is available free from Countryside Agency Publications at www.countryside.gov.uk/publications.
