The latest Investment Property Databank (IPD) Let Land Index shows that tenanted land gave a strong total return of 19.5% in 2002, beating all rival asset classes. The sector's performance is also ahead of its main competitors over a 10-year period although the income return from let land continues to drop due to downward pressure on farm rents. Table.
