In 1995, 14-15 sq m NIA per person was common, now 10-12 sq m or less is much more prevalent. Gives a breakdown of the components of total occupancy costs such as rent, rates, service charges and facilities management costs. Lastly includes some important points about the forthcoming debate on the subject including a plea to introduce a budget to permit cost reduction strategies to take place.
