Appeals against open countryside mapping - 2003 - DEFRA News Release .

Guidance has been published to assist landowners, ramblers and other groups involved in appeals against the inclusion of land on maps of open country and registered common land. The new rights to walk over land given by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 do not come into force until the land is conclusively mapped.
