Precautionary measures on GM trials

Precautionary measures on GM trials - 2003 - Scottish Executive News Release 25 July 2003, (3) .

Scottish Executive has advised farmers who have planted oil seed rape as part of the GM Farm Scale Trials not to plant conventional oil seed rape this year. This follows findings that show that oil seed rape persists in the soil for longer than orginally thought. This measure has been agreed with the executive, DEFRA and the Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment.
