The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has launched a design review to find out if the off-site manufacture of affordable housing developments results in best practice design. Oxford Brookes University and architects Hunt Thompson Associates will research the pre-design, design, construction and management of housing projects using modern construction methods and 13 schemes from the Challenge Fund will be reviewed. The findings should be published in September. CABE at www.cabe.org.uk.
