Offshore wind energy development: the challenges for English law

Offshore wind energy development: the challenges for English law - 2003 - Journal of Planning and Environment Law July 2003, 939-964(25) .

Addresses the legislative deficit facing UK offshore wind farm development seaward of territorial waters and other legal challenges under English and Welsh law surrounding the development of wind farms at sea. Deals only with the issues leading up to and surrounding erection of wind farm structures at sea and not with other aspects of offshore wind farm developments with an emphasis upon domestic law. Recognises that a multi-disciplinary legal approach is essential to ensure the success of off-shore wind energy development off the UK combining an awareness of relevant public international and European Community law with that of key domestic law.
