Buy-to-let is a long term investment - 2003 - Association of Residential Letting Agents Press Release 21 July 2003 (3) .

The results of the ARLA buy-to-let survey, conducted through its website, show that more than three-quarters of all buy-to-let investors are investing for the long-term. Two-thirds plan to retain properties for more than 10 years and a fifth claim the average life expectancy of their property investment is over 20 years. More than a quarter of these investors are aged between 25 and 35, but those between 35 and 45 accounted for 37%. Further information is available from t +44 (0)1923 896555.
