The UK's struggling manufacturing industry increase production at its highest rate for fifteen months during August, according to latest figures from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). The CIPS "Purchasing managers' index" shows new orders for the industry were also at fifteen month highs last month.
