Landowners right to open land for public - 2003 - DEFRA News Release (358/03) 2 September 2003 (3) .

Landowners and leaseholders will be able to dedicate land for public access under new regulations that came into force on 1 September. The changes allow freeholders and those holding a lease of more than ninety years to dedicate land to be enjoyed by the public even if it was sold.
