Global warming and offices

Global warming and offices - 2003 - Building 5 September 2003, 11(1) .

Experts have warned that global warming could make nearly three quarters of commercial buildings unusable by the year 2030. This is because around 70% of buildings are naturally ventilated and they become very uncomfortable in the summer. These warnings have a consequence for lightweight construction methods as the heavier building materials make the buildings more efficient at absorbing heat during the day to keep a building cool.
