New insolvency legislation

New rules made under the Enterprise Act 2002, designed to make corporate insolvency faster and fairer with a greater emphasis on rescue, came into force 15 September. The Crown's preferential claim has also been abolished which will benefit unsecured creditors, many of whom are small businesses.
