Investigates the next stage in the long-running pub dispute between Inntrepreneur and its tenants. The tenth anniversary of "Crehan v Inntrepreneur" was marked by the High Court ruling (2003) EWHC 1510 (Ch); (2003) 27 EG138 (CS) which found that Inntrepreneur's network of beer ties did not breach European competition law. The ruling conflicts with European Commission decisions concerning other brewer landlords. Article concludes the judgment raises the issue of whether an English judge or the European Commission is better equipped to carry out economic assessments. The case will now go to the Court of Appeal.
