CIRIA has developed an environmental management system (EMS), "Easy access environmental management", as a guidance pack on implementing an EMS, following the publication of the new British Standard, BS8555. The standard offers construction-related companies the chance to introduce an EMS in a step-by-step approach without the need to commit to ISO 14001 certification.
