Mild autumn keeps market warm
- 2003
- RICS Press Release 21 October 2003, (2) .
The RICS housing market survey England and Wales for the three months to September 2003 shows the market is staying buoyant with the number of people looking to buy a house at its highest since June 1999. There is also an indication that sales are likely to increase over the coming months as 49% of chartered surveyors reported a rise in buyer enquiries in September, up sharply from the 18% recorded in August. 46% more surveyors expect sales to rise rather than fall over the next three months, with the number of properties on the market falling in September.
