New £5bn housing allocation is unveiled to improve access to affordable housing, decent homes and key workers. The key worker initiative will direct resources to priority categories of people such as teachers and health workers, and also other areas to tackle recruitment and retention problems. This all relates to the governments commitment to create a world class education system in London with the aim to retain more high quality teachers and transform standards.
