Cultural Objects Bill receives Royal Assent

The Dealing in Cultural Objects (Offences) Act 2003 received Royal Assent on 30 October 2003 and will come into force early 2004. The Act does not extend to Scotland. The Act creates an offence of acquiring, disposing of, importing or exporting tainted cultural objects.
