New guidance for planning authorities is to published. It will place sustainable communities at the centre of the planning process with 'community coding' helping to achieve sustainable growth and create desirable new urban environments. Also announced was a new development of more than 10 000 homes on the largest brownfield site in London at Barking Reach.
