Regional development agencies (RDAs) need targets that are more closely linked to regional priorities, claims a National Audit Office report. The report says RDAs feel targets set by central government do not help direct activities to regional priorities. NAO recommends simplyfying the RDAs targets, aligning them more closely with regional strategies and government departments' public service agreement targets.
