Designing out crime will save London millions

A seminar hosted by the London Assembly's Environment Committee examined ways of reducing anti-social and environmental crimes. Delegates said that crime could be minimised by city designers achieving a better balance between creating a welcoming area whilst maintaining security. Design, maintenance and management of areas were also highlighted together with community involvement.
