'Investing in urban regeneration: dispelling the myths,' a new report, reveals that property investments in deprived areas have generated better long term returns than the market average. Between 1980 and 2001 totals for annual returns averaged 10.7% in the 20 most deprived wards which compared favourably with the 10.2% in the rest of England.
