A series of three articles on the Royal Town Planning Institute's planning awards finalists. "Team work is key to success" looks at five entries which demonstrate successful partnership achievements ranging from town centre and waterfront renewal to transport and conservation. "Planning in the public eye" introduces six entries which illustrate how planners can open up lines of communication with their local communities. "Vision makes a difference" describes six entries which show how taking a long-term positive view can breath new life into communities. Each entry had to set a model with planners playing a key role.
