The government has published its framework for the future of air transport in the UK over the next 30 years. The White Paper "The future of air transport" sets out the future development of air transport in the regions of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It balances the economic benefits of development against its environmental impact and follows an extensive public consultation.
