The Rightmove house price index for the month up to 6 December shows a rise in asking prices by 0.3% month-on-month. Annual house price inflation stands at 9.6%. A reversal this month of the growing supply shortage witnessed over the past six months suggests that stock levels may pickup over the coming months. London properties are shifting more quickly than nationally, for the first time in 14 months.
