Discusses the steps being taken to protect rating businesses against fraudulent ratings advice. Measures taken so far include a code of pactice produced by the RICS and supported by other professional bodies. "Rating consultancy code of practice" is an RICS practice statement which sets minimum rules for any contact that involves providing rating advice. The code will come into effect 1 April 2004.
