"Time for listening to local people" analyses the implications of draft Planning Policy Statement 1 (PPS1) which sets out the key principles for community consultation. "How to survive consultation" describes how Ipswich, one of the first planning authorities to try out the procedures proposed in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Bill, consulted with the local community on the Suffolk Structure Plan.
