Discusses the creation of CIPER the construction industry's new government forum, which may lead to a change in the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. Argues that the Act is a very effective dispute management tool which helps contractors manage disputes effectively instead of taking them to the HC. Recommends a useful approach could be one that is being taken by the Society of Construction Law which has suggested an open forum where discussion of the Act can take place by users who are affected by the outcome of adjudication.
