Developers will pay for dishing the dirt
Thomas, J.
Developers will pay for dishing the dirt - 2004 - Estates Gazette (0431) 31 July 2004, 84-85(2) .
Examines the implications of the Landfill (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 for developers. The final phase of the landfill directive (Directive 99/31/EC) is now in force with hazardous waste only being accepted at sites where the operators have the appropriate designation and permits. Focuses on Ireland which is already fully compliant with the EU directive. In Ireland, waste disposal has been in crisis for years with sites close to capacity and no hazardous waste sites available. Consequently, this has forced the development of alternative remediation technologies.
