Takes into account health and safety risks of employees and visitors together with business risks such as theft and industrial espionage. Considers the pros and cons of firms offering multi-disciplinary services such as engineering, architecture, surveying and construction compared with those firms offering specialist services such as surveying. Discusses the problem of conflict of interest for multi-disciplinary firms. Gives examples of multi-disciplinary and single service firms. Questions the flexibility and letability of special architecturally designedbuildings such as the Erotic Gherkin and Swiss Re St Mary Axe in the light of Liverpool's decision to scrap plans to build Will Alsop's Fourth Grace development.
