New additions to Single Payment Scheme

The eligibility of land grazed by horses, inclusion of traditional orchards and the Single Payment Scheme (SPS), the operation of the National Reserve and the conditions fro exemption from new hedgerow and ditch protection measures have been announced by DEFRA. The SPS simplifies 10 existing major payment schemes into one and will considerably reduce the administrative burden for many farmers.
