Energy and Utility Skills is the sector skills council for electricity, gas, waste management and water industries. Its remit includes ensuring there is a suitably skilled workforce for the waste industry. The skills council will be undertaking research into existing and future needs of the industry, developing national occupational standards for qualifications, developing skills solutions and sharing best practice.
