This is being driven by the city council which is supporting many types of urban regeneration including use of brownfield sites and revitalisation of rundown areas in its development plan. This extends up to 2011 and has a budget of around £4bn. Coventry's advantages include being strategically well placed with superb access by road and rail and a large skilled labour force.
